In Loving Memory of Pamela Coleman
With deep love and gratitude, we honor the life and lasting legacy of Pamela Coleman—a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, and passionate believer in the mission of the Valley Contractors Workforce Foundation.
As the mother of our founding Executive Director Amy Rohrer, Pam was not only part of our story—she helped shape it.
Surrounded by a family of builders—her husband, daughter, and son-in-law all contractors, and her grandchildren now pursuing careers in the trades—Pam understood the pride and purpose that come from building something with your own hands. She believed deeply in the vision of VCWF and the transformative power of Hands On Tools Mobile Construction Training (MCT).
Pam saw firsthand the restorative power that rebuilding their home had for Amy, Andrew, Ben, and Max after the Camp Fire. For Pam, the phrase “I built that” was more than a slogan—it was a reflection of resilience she saw in everyone who discovered their strength through hands-on building.
Pam was especially moved by VCWF’s commitment to building homes for Camp Fire survivors like Amy and her family —projects that not only restore hope and housing to families in need, but also serve as real-world training sites for the next generation of tradespeople. These builds were close to her heart, embodying everything she believed in: empowerment, purpose, and community.
She also loved hearing the stories of the strong women trainees that she hoped would follow in Amy's footsteps and be the builders of our community's future.
Pam, every day we will continue to honor your memory and built stronger communities that you'd be proud of.
In lieu of flowers, Pamela requested donations to VCWF so future generations of construction rockstars could follow in Amy's footsteps.
(Please note "In Memory of Pamela Coleman" in the donation comment section.)
Pam’s spirit lives on in every home built, every tool lifted with pride, and every student who dares to dream because of the opportunities she helped make possible.
