ABOUT US

Hands On Tools Mobile Construction Training is a program of the Valley Contractors Workforce Foundation (VCWF).

Created by the Valley Contractors Exchange in 2022, the Valley Contractors Workforce Foundation, a 501c3 corporation, works to provide skills training and education for the benefit of the construction industry.  Recruiting and training the future workforce, VCWF works to grow the MCT program and achieve our goal of increasing the construction workforce in our region, expediting the construction of homes, and rebuilding our fire-affected communities.

Mission

An industry-driven program, The mission of the Valley Contractors Workforce Foundation is to introduce and empower the future construction workforce of the North Valley

Philosophy and Vision

  • To provide hands-on-tools construction training and mentorship to rural populations, including those affected by the wildfires and the COVID-19 pandemic to empower, engage, and employ them to build homes, businesses and communities.

  • To provide a local training option in industry-required safety trainings such as Title 8, OSHA and Cal-OSHA.

  • Support and upskill the existing construction workforce in underrepresented specialty trades to meet the increased demand for construction industry workers.

  • Ensure the next generation construction workforce has the skills to secure a career with a living wage salary.

VCWF is also a licensed General Building (B) contractor, CSL#1104353.
