Mobile Construction Training

Hands On Tools

Since launching in early 2022, Hands on Tools Mobile Construction Training has introduced construction as a career choice to over 900 students in Butte and Glenn Counties and has worked with more than 65 adults during community projects and volunteer builds.

WHO

The Mobile Construction Training program is directed to a wide range of individuals.  Novice - learn about career opportunities

Beginner - get the training needed to enter the industry.

Semi-Skilled - upgrade your skills, advance in your career

Retired - use your experience to help train the future workforce.

WHAT

Mobile Construction Training is just what it sounds like!

Mobile - a truck & trailer ready to roll out to a school or jobsite, tools and all.

Construction - Skills are taught by a licensed contractor, with over 20 years in the industry

Training - We teach basic construction skills, using the tools require to build a building, as well as upskilling current workers so they can advance their careers.

WHY

In 2018, Butte County was rocked by the disastrous Camp Fire, wiping out over 18,000 buildings, displacing a large number of construction companies and workers.

The construction industry was already experiencing a nationwide  shortage of new workers joining the trades and this set our local industry back years.

Valley Contractors Exchange stepped in and created Hands On Tools Mobile Construction Training to address the need for workers and the work needing to be done!
